How to handle Terry McLaurin injury in Week 16 fantasy football

Terry McLaurin is on Washington’s final injury report for Week 16. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: McLaurin is INACTIVE for Week 16.

Game day update: Terry McLaurin is not expected to play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport, which is not surprising given the doubtful tag.

The Washington Football Team has a trio of key offensive starters on the injury report this week. And while things are up in the air for some of those players, the outlook for wide receiver Terry McLaurin is not looking good. Scary Terry didn’t practice all week, and he got tagged with the doubtful label on the injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy impact: Terry McLaurin (ankle)

Complicating matters further is that we’re still waiting to see whether the Football Team will have Alex Smith or Dwayne Haskins under center for this game. The former would benefit the pass catchers a little more than the later. Without McLaurin, wide receiver Cam Sims could see a few more targets. He hauled in five of eight looks last week for 26 yards. Tight end Logan Thomas is an especially attractive option in fantasy formats this week too, coming off a 13-catch, 101-yard outing last week.
