It’s easy to overlook them with quarterback Baker Mayfield playing out of his mind lately, but the Cleveland Browns running backs are still an indispensable part of the team’s offense, not to mention fantasy football lineups. This week, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have a golden opportunity against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns RB Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt

Chubb leads the way in the Browns’ backfield. Last week he had 50 yards on 15 carries, he also picked up his 10th touchdown of the season. In fact, Chubb has scored in all but one of his last five games. Just think what kind of numbers he’d have without missing some time earlier this season because of injury. Hunt still sees a decent share of carries, but he’s a regular contributor in the passing game. Last week, Hunt had just seven receiving yards on three catches, but the week before that he had 77 receiving yards and a score.

The Jets are giving up more than 4.1 yards per carry to opposing running backs. They have allowed just nine rushing touchdowns this season to the position, but don’t let that keep you away from these two this week.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Nick Chubb as a RB1 this week. Kareem Hunt is a solid RB3 or Flex player with some upside.
