It remains to be seen whether New England Patriots wide receiver will return for Monday night’s game, so that makes it difficult to handicap the position going into a fantasy football playoffs weekend. If you own Patriots receivers Jakobi Meyers or Damiere Byrd, here’s an overview of what to expect this weekend from each of them.

Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots WRs Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd

In New England’s last game, the Patriots were defeated by the Miami Dolphins 22-12, and Meyers had his best game of his two-year career by far. He finished the game catching seven of 10 targets for 111 yards to lead the New England pass catchers. Byrd caught three of four balls that went his way for 24 yards.

The passing game for the Patriots hasn’t been very good this season, and all pass catchers have a limited ceiling.

In New England’s next game, it will meet the Buffalo Bills, which rank in the middle of the pack allowing 234.7 passing yards per game for 15th in the NFL. In the Patriots' seventh game of the season, Cam Newton passed for just 174 yards, and Meyers led the way with six catches for 58 yards.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Meyers would be the only New England wide receiver worth consideration, though he is a wide receiver No. 4 at best.
