What to do with Steven Sims, Cam Sims in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlooks of Steven Sims, Cam Sims ahead of Washington’s Week 16 matchup against the Panthers.

The Washington Football Team will more than likely be without Terry McLaurin, as he is listed as doubtful to face the Carolina Panthers. His absence would push Cam Sims and Steven Sims Jr. into heavy workloads.

Cam has been a deep threat this season, as he’s caught 24 passes for 371 yards, giving him a 15.5 yards per catch average. Steven has remained more of a possession receiver, catching 22 passes for 207 yards for 9.4 yards per reception.

Fantasy Football analysis: Washington WRs Steven Sims, Cam Sims

The Carolina Panthers have managed to stay in the middle of the pack statistically when defending opposing receivers, but they have given up some big games to wide receivers of late to the Chiefs, Vikings and Broncos. They can be thrown on, but this Washington team mighrt not be in the best position to throw the ball all that much.

Washington needs to keep winning to get into the playoffs and they have multiple injuries, with Alex Smith, Antonio Gibson and now McLaurin all hurting. They could get Smith and Gibson back this week, but nothing is set in stone.

I expect Ron Rivera will play it conservative against his old team, using his strong defensive line to slow down Teddy Bridgewater and company while using Gibson, if he returns, as the key to his offense.

Both Sims have fantasy upside of course, as they target tree has been chopped up a bit, but tight end Logan Thomas and running back J.D. McKissic are both going to see a lot of work if Washington needs to pass more than they’d like.

In the end, Cam Sims is the big play guy that could put your team over the top, but is probably to risky while Steven Sims is a PPR play only in the deepest leagues.

Sit both Sims.
