Game status: Elliot is active and Michael Gehlken is reporting he is expected to get the bulk of the snaps over Pollard.
Game day update: Nothing has changed since Saturday and Elliott remains on track to play against the Eagles, per Ian Rapoport.
It looks like the Dallas Cowboys will have Ezekiel Elliott back in the lineup this week when they host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Elliott has been limited in practice all week, and despite the questionable designation for his calf injury, he is expected to play this week, according to Todd Archer. Unfortunately for fantasy football, his availability muddies the waters for both him and the more productive Tony Pollard.
Fantasy impact: Ezekiel Elliott (calf)
The veteran running back missed last week’s game—the first missed start of his career. The offense didn’t miss him. Pollard stepped in, carried the ball 12 times for 69 very nice yards and two rushing touchdowns. He also added another 63 yards on six catches.
With Pollard fully healthy and more effective, he’s probably a better fantasy option than his teammate this week. However, the presence of both dilutes Pollard’s status to that of a fringe RB2/3. Elliott is maybe worth a flex play.
