Five wide receivers have scored against the Philadelphia Eagles over the past three weeks. Will Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb be next?
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys WRs Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb
In five games since Andy Dalton returned to Dallas’ starting lineup, there really hasn’t been a big difference between Cooper and Lamb, statistically. Cooper has about 60 more yards and a couple more touchdowns, but he has seen just one more target (32 to 31) and caught just one more pass (23 to 22) during that time frame. It’s dangerous to say that there is a true No. 1 wideout here since Dalton spreads the ball around fairly evenly. Cooper showed in Week 15 that he is no sure thing as he bombed out against the 49ers, recording two catches for 10 yards in a game where the Cowboys scored 41 points. Lamb was Dalton’s top target out wide as he secured five of seven targets for 85 yards. He also padded his fantasy total with a touchdown off an onside kick. The Eagles’ pass defense ranks 20th against WRs. However, top cornerback Darius Slay should be back in Philly’s lineup after missing Week 15 because of a concussion.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Slay will most likely spend the majority of his afternoon attached to Cooper ($5,700), who is $400 more expensive than Lamb. Both players are WR3 options in season-long leagues, but since Lamb is the cheaper commodity, very talented in his own right and has the better one-on-one matchup, he looks like the preferred DraftKings choice, if you had to choose between these two.
