What to do with Darren Waller in Week 16 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Darren Waller ahead of the Raiders Week 16 matchup against the Dolphins.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller leads his team in all receiving categories. He’s been quarterback Derek Carr’s preferred target all season, so what happens now without Carr in the lineup? Nothing. Quarterback Marcus Mariota maintained the connection with the stud tight end, and he’s a great bet for fantasy lineups on what’s likely your league’s championship weekend.

Fantasy Football analysis: Raiders TE Darren Waller

Waller had his second-best game of the season last week. He caught nine passes on 12 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown. He didn’t lose a beat with the quarterback change, once Carr left with an injury. Waller had almost 100 yards and scored his touchdown with Mariota throwing him the ball.

This week, they’ll face the Dolphins, who have a pretty good defense. Miami has allowed just four touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season. The silver lining here is that they gave up a big game two weeks ago to Travis Kelce of the Chiefs. And with the role Waller plays in this offense, he’s a safe bet for a TE1 this week. Heck, after Kelce, he might be the best player at his position in fantasy.
