The New York Knicks will play their second game of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday and could be without their star rookie. The Knicks announced Thursday that rookie forward Obi Toppin is questionable to play because of a sore right calf.
The Dayton product had a rough outing in his NBA debut against the Indiana Pacers and scored 9 points on 3-of-12 shooting. He’s one of a few rookies on the mend. Rookie point guard Immanuel Quickley is also doubtful to play because of a hip injury he suffered against Indiana.
Austin Rivers and Omari Spellman have been ruled out and have yet to make their Knicks debuts.
