The Chicago Bears made an unexpected downgrade on their Week 16 injury report Thursday afternoon. A day after being listed as full with a hamstring injury, wide receiver Allen Robinson sat out Thursday’s practice.
The hamstring injury is a new one, but it is also possible Thursday was a maintenance day for the star pass catcher. If we see him upgraded to limited or full on the final injury report, we can probably expect Robinson to play on Sunday when the Bears travel to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. That being said, it will be something to track heading into game day.
Darnell Mooney and Cordarrelle Patterson are the next two receivers on the depth chart for Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense, but it’s a significant step down. In spite of an up-and-down season for the Bears, Robinson is the ninth ranked receiver in PPR leagues. He has 90 receptions for 1,110 yards and six touchdowns and is on track to surpass his career high in receptions (98).
