Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler isn’t playing at 100% health right now, which could cause for fantasy owners to pause when making their fantasy decisions this weekend. If you’re an owner of Ekeler, here’s an outlook of what to expect from him on Sunday.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers RB Austin Ekeler
In his last game, Ekeler was a bit limited with a quad injury and carried the ball 13 times for 60 yards in a 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He also caught all four targets that went his way for 19 yards. On the plus side, this game was played on a Thursday night and had extra days to get healthier heading into this weekend.
Ekeler and the Chargers rushing attack will match up against the Denver Broncos, which rank 28th against the run in terms of rushing yards allowed per game. In Denver’s last matchup, the Broncos were blown out 48-19 against the Buffalo Bills and allowed 182 rushing yards on 24 attempts, which is 7.6 yards per carry, with three touchdowns on the ground.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Ekeler is a No. 1 running back for fantasy owners to put into their lineups in a big weekend of fantasy football.
