The Detroit Lions did not get much out of their passing game last week in a loss to the Titans, but at least, for fantasy football purposes anyway, their ground game was productive. D’Andre Swift was again leading the backfield, rolling up a pair of touchdowns in the process. Swift and his backfield mate, Adrian Peterson, will have a tougher time producing this week against the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions RBs D’Andre Swift, Adrian Peterson
Swift carried the ball 15 times last week, rolling up 67 yards in the process. He also had 15 yards on four catches. Both of his touchdowns came on the ground. He’s now scored three touchdowns in his last two games, since returning from a concussion, and has a total of nine on the season. Peterson hasn’t had much to do since Swift’s return, getting just 23 yards on six carries last week.
Scoring is going to be harder to come by against Tampa Bay. The Bucs have allowed just one rushing touchdown in their last five games, and backs are averaging barely over three yards per carry on the season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
D’Andre Swift is worth a start at RB2 this week, just because the Lions don’t have many other playmakers. You can leave Adrian Peterson out of lineups entirely.
