Keenan Allen gets in limited Friday practice, listed as questionable for Week 16

Keenan Allen is still hobbled by a hamstring injury ahead of the Chargers’ Week 16 matchup against the Broncos.

Friday update: Allen got in a limited practice on Friday after missing the first two days. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Thursday update: Allen missed a second straight day of practice.

The Los Angeles Chargers’ receiving corps was banged up ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders and it might not be at full strength ahead of Week 16’s matchup against the Denver Broncos. Keenan Allen appeared on Wednesday’s injury report with a hamstring injury and did not practice. He was a game-time decision in his last outing but underperformed on the pitch count he was given.

Allen caught just one pass for 17 yards against the Raiders after word he would be on a pitch count for the game. He’s averaging around seven catches and 70 receiving yards per game this season, so it is clear the pitch count was legit. He did tell fantasy managers not to sit him before kickoff, but that’s exactly what a decoy would say!

If Allen sits in Week 16, Tyron Johnson and Jalen Guyton could continue to flourish. Mike Williams was a full participant in practice on Wednesday after being limited in Week 15 and could also see his role in the Chargers’ offense.
