Orange Bowl game odds: Opening line for Texas A&M vs. North Carolina

We’ve got an early look at the opening odds for the Orange Bowl game between the Texas A&M Aggies and North Carolina Tarheels.

They put together a fantastic season but in the end, the Texas A&M Aggies were on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoff. They will instead compete in the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida against the North Carolina Tar Heels in the final bowl game of the season on Saturday, Jan. 2. The game will get started at 8 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN and the WatchESPN app.

How they got here

Texas A&M came in fifth in the final College Football Playoff rankings reveal coming in with a record of 8-1. The only loss of the season came in a blowout defeat against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the second game of the year, and the Aggies’ signature victory came against Florida the following week.

What do you need to know about North Carolina? The Tar Heels score points. They come in with an 8-3 overall record and 7-3 in ACC play for a tie for fourth in the conference, and the Tar Heels went over the 40-point mark in seven games this year.
