Two of the more entertaining teams in the Group of Five face off on the Smurf Turf today when the Nevada Wolf Pack faces the Tulane Green Wave live from Boise, Idaho.

So where are sports bettors going as we get closer to game time? Let’s take a look. All odds and info were provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Point Spread

Tulane is a 2.5 point favorite, with 39% of the cash and 63% of the bets behind the Green Wave as of now.

Is the public right? We’ll lean yes here, but only because of the NOLA team’s ground-based attack. It’s expected to be around 40 degrees with plenty of clouds and wind at Albertson’s Stadium today. The Wave run it for 5.1 yards per carry, and 5.7 yards per play overall. The conditions should benefit them today.

Over/Under

The total is set at 57.5, with 78% of the handle and 81% of the bets on the over.

Is the public right? Neither of these teams move the ball particularly fast, and are between the 60’s and 80’s nationally in pace. But with a number this low, even in slightly wintry conditions we think the teams can hit it. We’ll take the over and ride with the public.

Moneyline

Tulane is -130, with 46% of the handle and 45% of the bets. Nevada is +107 with 54% of the cash of 55% of the tickets as of now.

Is the public right? This seems about right. The Green Wave’s ability to control tempo and drives via the run game with a more veteran team should give them a slight advantage today.
