How they got here

Louisiana qualified for the Sun Belt title game after going finishing its regular season with a 9-1 overall record including 7-1 in conference play. Unfortunately, the game that was scheduled to be played against Coastal Carolina was canceled due to COVID-19 reasons. The highlight of the Ragin’ Cajuns season was opening the season with a 31-14 win over Iowa State, and their lone loss came by a 30-27 home loss to Coastal Carolina.

UTSA finished with a 7-4 overall record and 5-2 in Conference USA play, second only to UAB, which played just four conference games. The Roadrunners had been scheduled to play in the Frisco Bowl against SMU, but the game was canceled due to the coronavirus for the Mustangs.
