How to handle Antonio Gibson injury in Week 15 fantasy football

Antonio Gibson is on Washington’s final injury report for Week 15. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: Antonio Gibson is INACTIVE for Week 15.

The Washington Football is unlikely to have running back Antonio Gibson available for the second game in a row. Gibson is dealing with a toe injury that had him out of action last week too. He is officially listed as questionable on the official injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. He did not participate in practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week, before getting in a limited session on Friday.

Fantasy impact: Antonio Gibson (toe)

Without Gibson, the Football Team turned to a rotation of J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber. Barber had a very slight edge in carries, 12 to 11, but McKissic was the more productive runner, gaining 68 yards on his attempts compared to just 37 for Barber.

Barber has seen more work lately, even with Gibson on the field, averaging 11 carries per game over his last four outings, also adding a touchdown in Week 13. However, he’s only averaged more than four yards per carry in one of those games.

Gibson has a better chance of being back in action next week against the Panthers.
