Game status: Ezekiel Elliott is INACTIVE. Tony Pollard will get the start in Week 15.

Game day update: The Cowboys expected Elliott to play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

As if the Dallas Cowboys needed any more problems this season. Now, running back Ezekiel Elliott is dealing with a calf injury. He is one of three players listed as questionable for this week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Elliott did not practice at all this week, but team owner and unlicensed amateur physician Jerry Jones said that Elliott is expected to suit for this Sunday’s game.

Fantasy impact: Ezekiel Elliott (calf)

Elliott has not been a very effective player recently. Last week he had 48 yards on 12 carries. He only has one game this season with 100+ rushing yards, and he hasn’t scored a touchdown since quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury.

It could open the door to more work for Tony Pollard this week, who’s already seen an increasing share of touches lately. In addition to 39 yards on 11 carries last week, he caught two passes, including a touchdown grab. Pollard’s fantasy value is trending up this week, making him a decent Flex option in lineups.
