What to do with Russell Wilson in Week 15 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Russell Wilson ahead of the Seahawks Week 15 matchup against Washington.

Even after setting a career-high in touchdown passes in a season in last week’s win, Russell Wilson has been average in the second half of the year fantasy-wise. Week 15’s game against Washington doesn’t do fantasy owners any favors.

Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks QB Russell Wilson

Though he lit the New York Jets up last week, throwing four touchdowns on the way to a 40-3 win, Wilson hasn’t been a top-tier fantasy football stud like he was in the first eight weeks of the season. Wilson hasn’t scored more than 22.14 points in a game in the last six weeks, even though Seattle is averaging 27.5 points per-game in the span. He’s also thrown an interception in consecutive weeks, now with 12 total on the year, a career high.

Now, going against a solid Washington defense that is sixth in points allowed, fourth in yards allowed, hasn’t given up more than 17 points in a game in four weeks and has let quarterbacks throw for 250-plus yards in just four games all year (Wilson has just one such game since Week 10), this has trap game written all over it. Washington has won four games in a row and has been carried by that defense. I can see this being a tough-it-out game just like it was for Seattle against the New York Giants in Week 13.

Wilson poses one of the hardest Week 15 fantasy playoff quarterback opponents of players of his caliber.
