Chances are that if you’re in your fantasy football playoffs right now, you haven’t had to use New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold this season. And if you just so happen to be pondering such a move this week as Darnold and the Jets get ready to take on the Los Angeles Rams, allow us to talk you out of making such a decision.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets QB Sam Darnold
Darnold failed to complete 54 percent of his passes last week against the Seahawks. He connected on 14 of 26 passing attempts for a meager 132 yards—not even a season low for him—and no touchdowns. At least he didn’t throw any interceptions though. In nine games, that was Darnold’s fifth outing without a touchdown pass. He’s got just five touchdowns on the season to go with nine interceptions.
Making the outlook even worse for Darnold and the Jets this week is the Rams defense, mainly pass rusher extraordinaire Aaron Donald.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Sam Darnold.
