Patrick Mahomes had an off week last Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. He completed 24 of 34 passes for 393 yards—his highest yards per attempt of the season—along with two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions in the process. Still, with a game against the Saints on tap this week, he will, as always, be a must-start quarterback in fantasy football.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

That was Mahomes’ first game with multiple picks this season, and those three interceptions bring his total for the year to five. So, yes, we can chalk it up as a fluke. He now has 33 touchdown passes on the season, and he’s thrown multiple scores in every game but two this season.

The Saints defense hasn’t been generous to opposing passers; no quarterback has thrown more than one touchdown against New Orleans since Week 8. But this is Patrick Mahomes, and the ceiling is just too high to let that scare you away from slotting him into your fantasy football lineup this week.
