What to do with Drew Sample in Week 15 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Drew Sample ahead of the Bengals Week 15 matchup against the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample has yet to score a touchdown this season, despite being the team’s top option at the position. Can Sample break his scoreless drought with only two weeks left in the regular season? Let’s break it down.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals TE Drew Sample

Even though the Bengals lost 30-7 last week to the Dallas Cowboys, Sample still had a relatively productive outing. The former second-round pick recorded three receptions (four targets) for 21 yards. It was the third-straight week that Sample was targeted at least four times.

The last time the Bengals faced off against the Steelers, Sample had one reception for nine yards, which does not even register as a top-20 play in fantasy football. But with Brandon Allen under center that could change. Remember, we just saw Pittsburgh’s defense get lit up Washington Football Team tight end Logan Thomas a couple of weeks ago for nine receptions (nine targets) for 98 yards.

With all that being said, Sample is still on the lower end of the reception food chain in Cincy and not worth a starting spot.
