For a team that likes to run the ball as much as they do, the Cleveland Browns top three wide receivers have been putting up some solid numbers lately. But the team isn’t going to ask Baker Mayfield to throw for 300+ yards every week, so we need to take a closer look at which of these guys are worth your time in fantasy football this week when the Browns take on the Giants.
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns WRs Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones
Higgins led this group with 10 targets last week; he caught six of them for 68 yards and a touchdown. The week before, he had 95 yards and a touchdown. Landry still leads the group in targets overall, though his numbers have come back to Earth since his 143-yard day in Week 12. People-Jones had 74 yards last week and 92 yards and a touchdown the week before that.
The Giants pass defense has been pretty good lately, but that didn’t stop DeAndre Hopkins from rolling up 136 yards last week. And though it seems like a long time ago, they let two of Washington’s receivers post 100+ yards in Week 9.
Landry might have an edge in targets, but Higgins has more upside for fantasy. He’s a WR2 this week. Landry’s probably a WR2 as well, and even though his stats are attractive, People-Jones seems like a stretch to post those kind of numbers three weeks in a row for a team that would rather be pounding the rock.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins. Sit Donovan Peoples-Jones.
