Dalvin Cook taken off the injury report, ready to roll for Week 13

The Vikings hope their star running back will be a full go this week against the Jaguars.

Friday update: Cook has been removed from the injury report and should be good to go in a smash matchup against the Jaguars. Play him as you usually would in fantasy.

Thursday update: Cook was limited in practice on Thursday, marking his second straight day as such. He would seem to be on track to play, but Friday’s final status will be worth a watch.

The Minnesota Vikings star running back, Dalvin Cook, was able to get a limited practice in on Wednesday, per St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson. Cook was forced from last week’s game against the Panthers with the ankle injury, but did return to finish.

Cook’s matchup with the Panthers was a good one and the kind he has exploited for big fantasy numbers this season, but he ended up rushing 18 times for 61 yards and catching his four targets for 21 more yards. It ended up easily being his worst statistical game, especially when you consider he lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown.

It would appear that Cook will play in a great matchup against the Jaguars this week, but it would be good to see him get a full practice or two in to show that his ankle isn’t bothering him. If Cook’s injury lingers and they hold him out, Alexander Mattison would be a strong fantasy play against the Jaguars.
