The Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has been activated from injured reserve, per NJ.com’s Mike Kaye. Ertz injured his ankle in Week 6 and hasn’t played since. But it looks like he’ll be ready to roll in Week 13 against the Packers.
Through six games, Ertz had caught 24-of-45 targets for 178 yards and one touchdown. That’s just 29.7 yards per game. The question now is, will Ertz take back the lead role that Dallas Goedert has had since returning from his own injury?
Goedert is coming off two strong games where he has totaled 12 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns. That’s better than Ertz in his first six games of the season. It would seem prudent for Goedert to keep the lead job while Ertz plays the Richard Rogers role in his return, but we have no indication from the team exactly how Ertz will be used in his return.
