Christian McCaffrey is on the Panthers final injury report for Week 15. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

Game status: McCaffrey is officially INACTIVE for Week 15.

Game day update: The Panthers will have McCaffrey inactive for Saturday’s game against the Packers, per Adam Schefter.

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is listed as doubtful on the official injury report ahead of Saturday’s game against the Packers. While that technically leaves open a very slight possibility that he could suit up, we can safely say that you should plan for him not to. But don’t take our word for it, head coach Matt Rhule has already said he expects McCaffrey to be inactive, so make fantasy football plans accordingly.

Fantasy impact: Christian McCaffrey (thigh)

He’s still dealing with the thigh injury that’s had him out of action since his brief return from another injury in Week 9. That means it will once again be Mike Davis handling work in the backfield for Carolina.

Davis is a good option for an RB2 this week. He’s coming off a game with 93 total yards (51 rushing, 42 receiving) and two touchdowns.

There’s still a chance that McCaffrey could play again this season. A Week 17 game won’t mean much to most fantasy players, but if he’s back in action next week, it could definitely have an impact in some fantasy championship games.
