What to do with Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le’Veon Bell in Week 15 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le’Veon Bell ahead of the Chiefs Week 15 matchup against the Saints.

Game day update: The Chiefs face a strong Saints defense giving up the second fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. ESPN still thinks Clyde Edwards-Helaire should have a solid day, projecting him with 13.3 points in PPR leagues. ESPN projects Le’Veon Bell to score 6.1 points.

Despite carrying the ball 16 times, his highest total since Week 6, Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire had just 32 rushing yards last week against Miami. His overall fantasy numbers were helped somewhat by catching five passes for 59 yards. So what about CEH and his backfield partner, Le’Veon Bell, this week against the Saints?

Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs RBs Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le’Veon Bell

If you a glass-half-full type, CEH’s 16 carries last week are a good sign since the Chiefs just don’t usually run the ball a whole lot. Too bad, because CEH had some productive games earlier this season. (On the other hand, when you can do what they can do with Patrick Mahomes, why wouldn’t you throw the ball?)

The Chiefs would be wise to use the ground game this week against the Saints. New Orleans gave up 115 yards and two touchdowns to Miles Sanders in an upset loss to the Eagles last week. Still, CEH is worth a spot in lineups this week as an RB2, just because of what he can do. Bell doesn’t get enough work to merit a start in fantasy.

Start Clyde Edwards-Helaire at RB2. Sit Le’Veon Bell.
