Some wide receivers stand out as must-start fantasy football options most weeks while others come and go depending on matchups and other factors. Hitting on under-the-radar plays is big in season-long fantasy and DFS. We’ve identified two wide receivers worth starting and two to consider sitting ahead of Week 15 to help you achieve fantasy success this weekend.
Wide Receiver Starts
Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans vs. Detroit Lions
A.J. Brown was the star of the Titans’ receiving corps in Week 14 despite being limited in practice ahead of last Sunday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He appeared to tweak his ankle in his last outing but Davis has a clean bill of health against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Davis hasn’t been held under 60 receiving yards in two straight games all year and is due to bounce back in an ideal matchup.
D.J. Chark Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Baltimore Ravens
Chark hasn’t looked like a WR1 for most of the year because of injuries and the Jaguars’ quarterback room but Gardener Minshew is back in business for Week 15. No signal-caller has favored Chark more than Minshew. Three of Chark’s four touchdown catches have come from Minshew and the third-year wideout can get back on track against a Ravens secondary that was torched by Baker Mayfield earlier this week.
Wide Receiver Sits
Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns vs. New York Giants
It’s time for people to start respecting the Giants’ defense. New York failed to extend its winning streak to five games in Week 14 but have given up the fourth-fewest passing touchdowns in the NFL this season. The Cleveland Browns do most of their offensive work through running backs, and they won’t be overly eager to test James Bradberry.
Keke Coutee, Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Texans were surprisingly explosive through the air against the Colts two weeks ago in their first game following Will Fuller’s suspension and Coutee stepped up by leading the Texans in receiving yards. He had a modest outing the following week and saved his fantasy value by scoring a touchdown to go along with three receptions for 24 yards. Indianapolis has slipped defensively in recent weeks but banking on a player with 17 receptions this season is risky for the fantasy playoffs.
