This season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in fantasy football. Can he continue his tremendous play on Saturday night against the Carolina Panthers? Let’s break it down below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers
Last week against the Detroit Lions, Aaron Rodgers had his third-straight game, where he threw for at least three touchdowns and zero interceptions. The veteran quarterback also had a rushing touchdown, only his second this season. In the Packers’ last three games, he has a touchdown to interception ratio of 10-0.
For his efforts, Rodgers scored a season-high 30.9 fantasy continuing, his streak of eight-straight games with at least 20 fantasy points. The former first-round pick should be able to make it nine-straight when he plays on Saturday against Carolina.
This season, the Panthers’ defense is only allowing 10.3 yards per completion, which is fourth-best in the NFL. But they have only forced five interceptions and given up 19.1 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. With that in mind, Rodgers is a no-brainer must start, especially after we saw Broncos quarterback Drew Lock torched this Carolina defense for four touchdown passes.
