Update — Mariota fought valiantly and finished 17-of-28 passing for 226 yards with a touchdown pass and a pick. He also rushed for 88 yards and a score on nine carries in Las Vegas’ 30-27 loss. Carr finished with 53 passing yards on 3-of-5 passing.
Marcus Mariota is alive and well. The Las Vegas Raiders backup is off to a hot start in his team’s Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers and led an impressive second-quarter scoring drive after Derek Carr exited the matchup with a groin injury.
Mariota was perfect throwing the football on a seven-play, 86-yard drive that was capped off by this bomb to Darren Waller.

Mariota is 3-of-3 passing for 70 yards and has managed to tally 11 rushing yards as well. He certainly doesn't look like a quarterback who hasn't played since last season and it appears like he has enough to help the Raiders stay competitive with their starter out.
