To wrap-up Week 14 of the NFL season, we have a pivotal AFC North battle between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns. This matchup has great DFS plays on both teams starting with Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt. You can and should expect many fantasy managers to put one of those players into their captain slot.
Therefore, who are some lower-tier value flex plays on both teams that could help you win the MNF DraftKings Showdown? Let’s discuss some options below.
Willie Snead, WR, Ravens, $5,800
The Baltimore Ravens will be getting a major contributor back to their wide receiver in veteran Willie Snead. Snead was just activated off of the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. The veteran missed the last two games, but will likely slide back into the WR2 spot behind Marquise Brown.
In Snead’s last game against the Tennessee Titans, he had three receptions (seven targets) for 23 yards. While it wasn't impressive, it was the second-consecutive game that Snead was targeted at least seven times. On Monday, he’ll be going against a Browns’ defense that will try to take away Hollywood Brown and Andrews in the middle of the field. If that’s the case, Snead should have some opportunities to make some plays.
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ravens, $8,200
This selection isn’t so much a low-tier value play, but more so of he needs to be playing in your DFS lineup. Last week against the Cowboys, J.K. Dobbins had more carries than both Gus Edwards and Mark Ingram II. The rookie running back posted 71 rushing yards for 11 carries and a touchdown. It was the second-straight game that Dobbins had at least 70 rushing yards and a score on the ground.
Dobbins also scored 13.1 fantasy points, which was the fourth time this season that he scored in double digits. This week, he goes against a Browns’ defense that he scored 14.2 fantasy points back in Week 1. Cleveland’s defense is allowing nine touchdowns and 22 DraftKing points to opposing running backs.
Harrison Bryant, TE, Browns, $4,200
With starting tight end Austin Hooper out with a neck injury, the Browns will give some snaps to rookie Harrison Bryant and David Njoku. Bryant was an early season fantasy football sensation back in Week 7.
In that game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Bryant scored a season-high 21.6 fantasy points on four receptions (five targets) for 56 yards and two touchdowns. However, since that performance, he’s only scored 5.8 points in three games.
The Ravens’ defense is pretty good against opposing tight ends this season, only allowing five touchdowns and 12.8 DraftKing points per games. But with attention on Jarvis Landry and the running backs, Bryant will have opportunities to make a play or two.
Rashard Higgins, WR, Browns, $6,200
Rashard Higgins had one of his best games of the season last week against the Tennessee Titans. Higgins produced six receptions (nine targets) for 95 yards and a touchdown. He also scored 21.5 fantasy points, giving him his second 20-point performance within six weeks.
The veteran wide receiver will be trying to duplicate this against a stout Ravens’ secondary. He will likely draw Marcus Peters, while Marlon Humphrey will have the task of defending Jarvis Landry on the outside. This season, the Ravens’ defense is allowing a league-best eight touchdowns and 35.9 DraftKing points per game to opposing wide receivers.
