The San Francisco 49ers’ one-two punch at running back is one of the most frustrating things in fantasy football this year. It’s nearly impossible to predict whether Raheem Mostert or Jeff Wilson will take the lead each week but Wilson appears to have higher upside at this point and is positioning himself to be a viable waiver wire target ahead of Week 15.
Wilson and Mostert have split carries fairly evenly in recent weeks but San Francisco appears to prefer to give him the first crack at goal-line carries. Wilson tallied 11 carries for 31 yards and a score against the Washington Football Team. He also caught two passes for 13 yards. Mostert totaled a team-high 14 carries for 65 yards and caught two passes for five yards but never seemed like much of a scoring threat. Wilson has reached the end one twice as much as Mostert and is available in 92 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues.
