The Detroit Lions wide receiver unit might not put up gaudy numbers on a weekly basis, but they done a great job holding down the fort without Pro Bowler Kenny Golladay.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions WRs Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, Mohamed Sanu
When Kenny Golladay was sidelined a few weeks ago with a nagging hip injury, everybody wondered who would step up. Well, Lions fans and fantasy football managers did not have to wait long as veteran Marvin Jones Jr. stepped up.
In Detroit’s last four games, Jones has 26 receptions (40 targets) for 311 yards and two touchdowns. While fantasy football managers would like to see more in the touchdown department, Jones Jr. has become a value WR3/FLEX option. Last week against the Bears, he was the team’s leading receiver with eight receptions (12 targets) for 116 yards and a touchdown.
In that same game, Danny Amendola had three receptions (five targets) for 62 yards, while Sanu only had two receptions (two targets) for 36 yards. On Sunday, they’ll be facing a Packers defense that has only allowed 13 touchdowns and 22.5 fantasy points per game to opposing wide outs.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start — Jones Jr. as a WR3/FLEX
Sit — Danny Amendola and Mohamed Sanu
