The Bears wide receivers have been kept on their toes this season as the team has bounced between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles at the quarterback position. As of Wednesday evening, it remains to be seen who will be under center in Chicago this weekend. While the quarterback position is uncertain, we know for sure that Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, and Darnell Mooney will be out there ready to catch anything thrown their way. Are any of these receivers candidates for a spot in your starting lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears WRs Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, Darnell Mooney
Allen Robinson is the 11th ranked fantasy wide receiver on the season, averaging 16.4 points per game. He has remained the primary target on the Bears offense regardless of who is playing quarterback and has reached double-digit scoring in all but one game so far this season. Robinson is the picture of consistency in an offense that is rather sporadic as a whole. The Texans are a decent matchup, having allowed the 11th most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers so far this season. Robinson seems to be dealing with a knee injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he was able to play through it in Week 13 and the Bears are likely just being cautious with their top offensive weapon. Keep an eye on his injury status, but if he plays, Robinson belongs in lineups as a WR1.
Anthony Miller caught all five of his targets for 56 yards in Week 13 and added one carry for three yards to finish with 10.9 PPR points. This was a fairly average game for Miller, demonstrating his decent floor, but unfortunately, his ceiling is not very high, making him a rather unexciting fantasy prospect. He will inevitably be involved in the offense, but he is too touchdown-dependent to be considered for a starting spot in your lineup. Keep him on the bench this week.
Darnell Mooney brought in four of six targets for 43 yards in Week 13. In a similar situation as Miller, Mooney is involved in the Bears offense enough to have a decent floor, but his ceiling is unappealing. He in unlikely to give you the boost you need to win your matchup and odds are there is a more promising option out there for your lineup. Keep Mooney out of your Week 14 plans.
