The Miami Dolphins placed second-year running back Myles Gaskin on the reserve/COVID list Saturday and he will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Heading into Sunday’s game against Kansas City, the Dolphins were already without rookie running back Salvon Ahmed, who is out with a shoulder injury, and veteran Matt Breida that was placed on the reserve/COVID place too. Miami will now lean on DeAndre Washington, Patrick Laird, and Elijah McGuire.

This season, Gaskin has been lightning in a bottle for the Dolphins’ running game. He has 477 yards on 121 carries and two touchdowns. Last week, the 5-foot-10 running back made his return after missing the previous five games with a knee injury.

Against the Cincinnati Bengals, he produced 90 rushing yards on 21 carries, along with two receptions for 51 yards. Gaskin also scored 12.1 fantasy points, giving him his fourth-straight contest with at least 10 fantasy points.
