Game day update: The Panthers will lean on Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel in the passing game this week with Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore sitting out. Those two stand to see more looks from Teddy Bridgewater. ESPN is projecting 10.3 points for Samuel and 12.4 points for Anderson.

The Carolina Panthers will be getting a valuable member of their receiving core back for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. The Panthers activated Curtis Samuel off the COVID-19 list, but D.J. Moore remains on it, after testing positive earlier this week.

Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers WRs Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel

With D.J. Moore and star running back Christian McCaffrey likely both out for Sunday, it should open up more opportunities for Samuel and Robby Anderson. In their last game against the Minnesota Vikings, Anderson had four receptions (seven targets) for 94 yards and a touchdown. It was the first touchdown Anderson scored since Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The 6-foot-3 speedster scored 15.4 fantasy points in that Week 12 contest, making it his second-best fantasy football performance this season. Anderson should be able to build off this performance against a Broncos defense that has allowed 12 touchdowns and 21.3 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.

Samuel should be a solid value FLEX play this week as he will likely help in the running game without McCaffrey. When McCaffrey was out for an extended period earlier this season, Samuel had two rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he had 34 receptions (38 targets) for 324 and two touchdowns.

But his best performance this season happened in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In that game, Samuel recorded nine receptions (nine targets) for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start — Robby Anderson as a WR2, Samuel as a FLEX

Sit — D.J. Moore
