What to do with Giovani Bernard in Week 14 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Giovani Bernard ahead of the Bengals Week 14 matchup against the Cowboys.

Game day update: This might be Giovani Bernard’s best chance to produce some meaningful fantasy numbers. The Bengals are taking on a Cowboys defense that’s dealing with a list of injuries and hasn’t done much to stop opponents this season. ESPN is projecting 13 points for Bernard this week.

There is not much to like, at least from a fantasy football perspective, about the Cincinnati Bengals offense. Without quarterback Joe Burrow and running back Joe Mixon, they’re pretty much stuck in the mud as far as weekly performances go. But this week, Giovanni Bernard makes a decent play in fantasy thanks to a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals RB Giovani Bernard

Bernard rushed 12 times for 30 yards last week against a tough Dolphins defense. That’s pretty consistent to his recent performances over the last four games or so. He just doesn’t get the chance to run much with his team chasing points most weeks.

The Cowboys have been brutalized by running backs lately. They’ve allowed a 100-yard rusher in each of their last three games, and they’ve also given up five touchdowns in that span.

Given the overall state of the Bengals, I wouldn’t expect big numbers from Bernard, but he should still be able to make a mark here.
