Jared Goff had a better than average outing in Week 13 against a middling Arizona defense, as he threw for 351 yards while completing 37 of 47 passes. Goff punched in a rushing touchdown in addition to his one passing touchdown to finish with his third highest point total of the season. Things will get a little more difficult in Week 14 when he takes on the New England Patriots. Should his most recent performance make fantasy owners reconsider inserting him into their starting lineups this week? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams QB Jared Goff
Jared Goff is averaging only 16.7 points per game this season and is the 15th ranked player at the position. He will take on a New England defense that just held Justin Herbert and the Chargers to a shutout in Week 13 and that has allowed the third fewest fantasy points to the quarterback position so far this season. The Rams seem to have found their stride on offense last weekend, but their opponent’s defense was much more vulnerable than the Patriots seem to be. Jared Goff may have performed well last week, but he has been highly unreliable this season and can’t be trusted to remain consistent from one week to the next. He should remain on the bench this weekend in standard leagues.
