Previewing Patriots vs. Jets

The New England Patriots and New York Jets will wrap up Week 9 with an AFC East matchup on Monday at MetLife Stadium. Both teams are looking to snap losing streaks to build momentum but only the visitors have a chance at remaining relevant in the divisional race. The game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Patriots have lose four straight games since toppling the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3. Cam Newton’s positive Covid-19 and injuries to key players on both sides if the ball have contributed to making the perennial division champs into division chumps. The Jets are no better as the only winless team in the NFL and will have to field Joe Flacco while Sam Darnold recovers from a shoulder injury. New York’s stagnant offense shouldn’t come close to reaching its ceiling without its leader under center, so this could turn out to be yet another blowout loss for the home team.

If you can’t watch this game on TV, you have the option to stream the matchup on WatchESPN. If you don’t have cable, you can get a free trial from YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream Monday Night Football this week.

The game is often a little bit delayed on live streams, but usually it’s only between 30 and 60 seconds behind the TV broadcast. That can impact you if you’re on Twitter during the game, but otherwise it’s an easy option.

The Patriots (-420) are 9.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook while the Jets’ odds sit at +350. The point total is installed at 41.5.
