Game status: Allen is ACTIVE for Week 9.

Game day update: Allen tested negative for a second time and is on track to play this afternoon, per Adam Schefter.

The Los Angeles Chargers made a late addition to the injury report on Saturday when they added wide receiver Keenan Allen as questionable with an illness. Adam Schefter is reporting Allen had a sore throat on Saturday, but tested negative for Covid-19. He needs to pass a test Sunday morning before being cleared to play.

Fantasy impact: Keenan Allen (illness)

The Chargers and Raiders don’t square off until 4:05 p.m. ET, so we won’t know with 100 percent certainty until inactives are released at 2:35 p.m. That being said, one of the national media folks will likely have news of Allen’s Covid-19 test later this morning. It is supposed to be private information, but we know how that goes with NFL news and so-called “insiders.”

Given the unique nature of this season with Covid-19, it’s hard to project what you should do if we don’t know Allen’s game status by 1 p.m. If you have other 4:05/4:25 p.m., SNF, or MNF options, then you can just wait on that. If you don’t have other options, you’ll be left rolling the dice.
