Game status: Ridley is INACTIVE in Week 9.
Game day update: Ridley is NOT expected to play after missing practice this week, per Adam Schefter.
The Atlanta Falcons may not have wide receiver Calvin Ridley this week when they host the Denver Broncos. He suffered an ankle injury that forced him out of last week’s game. And despite some initial optimism, Ridley was not able to practice at all this week, making it highly unlikely that he will suit up on Sunday. If you were hoping to have him for your fantasy lineup, you better make other plans.
Fantasy impact: Calvin Ridley (foot)
Ridley left last week’s game with 42 yards on four catches. In the two weeks prior to that, he had scored in both games. Without Ridley the Falcons will lean even more heavily on Julio Jones, who has 371 yards in his last three games.
Another player who could see more looks is Russell Gage, though he did not see an uptick in production after Ridley left the game last week. Tight end Hayden Hurst might also be in line for more targets.
