What to do with Kyle Allen in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Kyle Allen’s fantasy football outlook ahead of Washington’s Week 9 matchup against the Giants.

Kyle Allen has basically kept the Washington Football Team’s offense on the tracks in his three starts. Washington doesn’t want him to play a leading role, really, as witnessed by the fact that he threw just 25 passes in the Team’s Week 8 win versus Dallas. But when called upon, he hasn’t embarrassed himself. That in itself is progress compared to Dwayne Haskins. Allen will try to come out on the right side of a divisional matchup Sunday versus the New York Giants.

Fantasy Football analysis: Washington QB Kyle Allen

Allen has thrown multiple touchdowns in his last two starts, He’s a little mistake-prone, but he has tried to mitigate that by relying on his top receiving targets. Allen knows that means Terry McLaurin, which is why McLaurin has seen 23 targets over Washington’s last two games. Allen launched 42 passes in a 20-19 loss to the Giants back in Week 6. He posted 280 yards and two touchdowns, but both of his turnovers — one interception and one fumble — led directly to Giants touchdowns. The Giants have permitted two passing TDs in each of their last three games.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Allen might get a couple of scores here, but he has no upside against a Giants defense that is playing better than many expected entering the season. Even at just $5,300, there are better and more valuable options on the board.
