The Panthers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9 and they will likely have to put up a lot of points to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and Co. Ian Thomas has had a steady role in the Panthers offense all season, but that role has unfortunately been a small one. Is his role likely to increase this week and will he be worth starting in your Week 9 lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers TE Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas has received at least one target in every game in which he has played except one this year, but he has never received more than five targets. He has one touchdown and has failed to reach 30 yards in any game thus far. There are simply too many mouths to feed in the Carolina offense and it seems that Thomas is often left feeling hungry at the end of the game. He is mostly an afterthought in the offensive scheme and should only be considered for a starting position in two TE leagues. In standard leagues, Thomas can be left on the bench.
