What to do with Lamar Jackson in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Lamar Jackson’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Ravens Week 9 matchup against the Colts.

Being a realist, I understand that Lamar Jackson is one of those players who pretty much has to be in your fantasy lineup in any week. Sure, the variance from opponent to opponent will be there, but he’s just so loaded with potential, any game could be a huge one. So what about this week against a tough Colts defense?

Fantasy Football analysis: Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

In seven games, opposing quarterbacks have only thrown 10 touchdown passes against the Colts, compared to 11 interceptions. Matthew Stafford of the Lions had the best game of any QB against Indianapolis, from a fantasy perspective, throwing three touchdowns with one pick and 336 yards.

Jackson struggled as a passer last week, completing less than 50 percent of his throws against the Steelers. He did manage to throw two touchdowns, and two interceptions, in a game where the Ravens mostly focused on running the ball.

That’s where he could still have a big day against the Colts, who haven’t faced a QB with Jackson’s running ability this year. So, he’s still worth starting, but temper your expectations.
