Game day update: Golden Tate will not be playing in this one, so Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton will split the bulk of targets with Evan Engram. ESPN projects Shepard with 12.4 points and Slayton with 11.3 points in PPR leagues.
Despite quarterback Daniel Jones’ trouble with turnovers, the New York Giants have a couple of decent options at wide receiver for fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants WRs Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Golden Tate
Shepard leads the group. Since returning from an injury, he’s got 133 yards and a touchdown in two games, rolling up 74 yards on eight catches last week against the Bucs. Shepard’s return has put a damper on Slayton’s numbers; he’s got just 79 yards in two games since the Giants’ No. 1 receiver’s return.
Tate hasn’t seen many targets, just six in his last three games, but he has scored in consecutive games. He’s been on the scout team this week at practice after liking a couple tweets disparaging the Giants, and he could be facing team discipline, including missed playing time. If that happens, Shepard and Slayton are even more valuable.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Sterling Shepard. Sit Darius Slayton and Golden Tate.
