How and what to watch for Kansas vs. No. 19 Oklahoma

This is going to be bad. Very, very bad.

NCAA Football: Oklahoma at Texas Tech Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

The 0-6 Kansas Jayhawks are one of the worst teams in college football this year. They’re poised to take a big beating as the team heads to Norman to take on the 4-2 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoon.

The Sooners have struggled this year more than we’re used to seeing them this season, already with two losses. But this week should be a breeze thanks to its high-powered offense. The Jayhawks have never given up less than 38 points this season and have allowed opposing offenses to score 50 in back to back games. The Sooners offense, led by redshirt freshman Spencer Rattler, scores an average of 43 points per game. OU is going to score a lot in this one, both through the air and the ground.

The Jayhawks offense has struggled just as much as its defense. The team hasn’t scored more than 25 points at all this season and averages a measly 16.2 points per game. Nothing we’ve seen from this team in 2020 has given any confidence that they can keep it close with Oklahoma.

The reality is Kansas is highly unlikely to pull the upset, but it’s not crazy to think they stay within 37 of the Sooners. OU probably gets up big early and pulls the starters.
