Tale of the Tape for Max Griffin vs. Ramiz Brahimaj

In a welterweight contest on the undercard of UFC Vegas 13, Max Griffin will fight Ramiz Brahimaj Saturday in Las Vegas, and available on ESPN+.

The 34-year-old Griffin heads to the cage with a professional record of 15-8 and a two-match losing streak. In March, he lost to Alex Oliveira by split decision at UFC 248.

Before that fight, he lost by unanimous decision to Alex Morono at UFC Fight Night 161 in 2019. Griffin hasn’t won a fight since Apr. 2019 at UFC 236 against Zelim Imadaev, which was by majority decision. “The Pain” is a striker as most of his TKOs came via punches. He lands 3.87 strikes per minute, with a 49 percent striking accuracy. Griffin also absorbs 3.93 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 55 percent. When it comes to grappling, he has a takedown average per 15 minutes of 1.90 and 66 percent takedown accuracy.

As for Brahimaj, he is coming into the UFC APEX with a professional record of 8-2. The 27-year-old from The Bronx will be making his UFC debut on Saturday. Brahimaj last fought in 2019 at LFA 62, where he defeated Carlos Martinez by submission in Round 1 via arm-triangle choke. Over the last three years, the New York native majority fought at LFA. He also had three fights in 2017 in the Xtreme Knockout promotion.
