In a heavyweight bout on the main card of UFC Vegas 13, Andrei Arlovski will take on Tanner Boser Saturday in Las Vegas, and available on ESPN+.
The 41-year-old Arlovski enters the octagon with an overall record of 29-19 (2 NC). This is his second UFC fight this year. At UFC Fight Night 171 in May, he defeated Philipe Lins by a unanimous decision in Round 3. “The Pit Bull” is a solid two-way fighter who lands 3.54 strikes per minute with a 44 percent striking accuracy. He also absorbs 2.69 strikes per minute, while his defense is at 59 percent.
The 6-foot-4 fighter can grapple with a 0.50 takedown average per 15 minutes and 36 percent takedown accuracy. However, when it comes to defending against the takedown, Arlovski is tough to put on the mat with a 79 percent takedown defense.
Boser is coming into the APEX with an overall record of 19-6-1. The 29-year-old Canadian will be fighting in his third UFC bout this year. At UFC on ESPN 14 in July, Boser defeated Raphael Pessoa in Round 2 by TKO, punching him in 2:36.
Before that bout, “Bulldozer” Boser defeated Philipe Lins at UFC on ESPN 12 in June. He won in Round 1 by KO via punches in just 2:41. In four UFC matches, Boser has a record 3-1, and the 29-year-old fighter is a better striker statistically than his opponent. He has 4.54 strikes landed per minute, along with a striking accuracy of 54 percent. Additionally, Boser absorbs 2.85 strikes per minute but has a striking defense of 64 percent.
