Thursday update: Kamara was spotted at practice, per Mike Triplett. He appears to be on track to play on Sunday.
New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara wasn’t at practice on Wednesday due to a bone bruise in his foot, per Nick Underhill. Kamara didn’t miss any time in Week 8 against the Bears and Underhill called the injury “nothing too serious.”
If Kamara were to miss practice again on Thursday, it would be time to worry about his status against the Buccaneers.
Kamara has been the backbone of this offense with Michael Thomas out for the majority of the season so far. He is on pace to break the running back receptions record, as he’s currently at 55 receptions for 556 yards and three touchdowns through seven games. If you took away his 87 rushing attempts for 431 yards and four touchdowns, he would still be an elite PPR play in fantasy football.
If he does end up having trouble getting healthy this week, Latavius Murray would take the reins in a tough matchup against the Buccaneers top run defense.
