Calvin Ridley is questionable for Week 9

Falcons WR gets positive new about his injury, but has yet to practice.

Friday update: Calvin Ridley didn’t practice on Friday, but nobody did for the Falcons, as they worked remotely. Coach Raheem Morris has been optimistic about his recovery and said he was hoping to see Ridley practice on Friday. He says that Ridley is in a “great spot,” per Kelsey Conway. It appears that he will have a real chance of playing despite not practicing.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver did not practice on Wednesday, per William McFadden. Ridley injured his foot last week against the Panthers and was diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain. The injury could keep him out this week against the Broncos, especially with a bye week in Week 10, but coach Raheem Morris said that the team received “exciting” news about Ridley’s injury.

With Ridley’s injury closer to day-to-day and the mysterious “exciting” news, maybe Ridley has a real chance to play this week, but we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves just yet. If Ridley can’t go, Julio Jones, Russell Gage and Hayden Hurst should see the biggest bumps in work.

Ridley started off smoking hot with Julio Jones hurting early in the season, as he topped 100 yards in each of the first three games and scored four touchdowns. He was shutout in Week 4, but otherwise he’s still been putting up good fantasy numbers with a touchdown or 136 yards in his three games before his injury.
