Game status: Gio Bernard is ACTIVE for Week 12.

Game day update: Giovani Bernard is believed to have cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play, per Ian Rapoport.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard is listed as questionable on the Week 12 injury report. He has yet to officially clear the NFL’s concussion protocol, but he was able to practice this week. Head coach Zac Taylor said during the week that he felt confident about Bernard’s ability to play this week against the New York Giants.

Fantasy impact: Giovani Bernard (Concussion)

Last week against Washington, Bernard had 18 yards on nine carries, and he caught four passes for 37 yards. The Bengals are giving touches to Samaje Perine along with Bernard while regular starter Joe Mixon is on injured reserve. If Bernard can’t play, Perine would be the guy.

If you do plan to use Bernard in your fantasy football lineup this weekend, you need to double check Sunday morning that he is cleared to play. Otherwise, it might be worth grabbing Perine as a fill-in with low expectations for his stats.
